Hello, all! I am currently playing Maria in West Side Story and would like to send out an open invite to any of you who would like to see it! For anyone interested, the production is at the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre in Wilkes-Barre, PA, USA: roughly 20-30 minutes outside of Scranton. If you happen to be in the area and want to see it, we run September 12,18, and 19 at 8pm, and September 13 and 20 at 3pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Ticketfly. We’re taking the show and setting it in the present, so it’s going to be West Side Story as you’ve never seen it before! We’ve got “Maria” being done on an acoustic guitar, modern costuming, updated choreography, “Somewhere” as a trio with three part harmony, and lots more! Hope you can make it!

my favorite part of west side story is when maria is dancing by herself before gino comes up and tells her that tony killed her brother and the soft instrumental rendition of maria is playing and maria looks so carefree and wow i don’t understand how anyone could not love west side story
